Chapter 187 Kill!

It all had happened so quickly.

The martial artist who had been trying to save Wu Rui hadn’t reacted in time, so his blade was now swinging directly at his neck.

Wu Rui had been confused, but the moment he saw the glinting blade swinging at his neck, he still had enough sense to dodge.

“FUCK!” Wu Rui rolled across the ground, barely escaping the blade.

He didn’t have time to scold anyone, though, for the other person tossed his weapon and quickly fished out a vial of Aurumsaur antivenom.

“Drink this now, Aurumsaurs are venomous.”

Wu Rui swallowed his curses alongside the antidote, slowly picking himself off the ground to check the fight.

The familiar figure directly stabbed his sword into the Aurumsaur’s abdomen, simultaneously controlling two more knives that flew and lodged themselves in its eyes, twisting once and finally puncturing its brain.

There was a great thud as the tier three, one-star Dark Aurumsaur collapsed on the ground, dead.

It’s him! Wu Rui’s eyes widened.

He didn’t expect this person would ever save his life.

It had only been three months and he was so much more powerful.

Wu Rui wasn’t disappointed, though, but instead grew excited because he could only grow when fighting alongside other powerful fighters.

It did not matter if other people called Xiang Ning his archnemesis; within the younger generation, he was the only one who could call himself a peer of Xiang Ning’s.

He kept his intentions to learn pure, and while no one knew it, he had set him as the goalpost to overtake.

After three months, he had been both nervous and excited.

Excited to see if he had overtaken Xiang Ning yet, nervous because he didn’t know what to do if he had.

Should he even continue cultivating But it would feel like something was lacking.

The dilemma had made him restless during the past few days, but after seeing that Xiang Ning was still as strong as ever, a weight was lifted from his shoulders.

Wu Rui grinned and took three steps forward, badly wanting to give Xiang Ning a hug, but suddenly froze, silently cursing. What the hell!

“Hey kid, it’s been three months, you look terrible!” Xiang Ning grinned as he came up to Wu Rui and checked him out.

“Shut up!” Wu Rui rolled his eyes.

Although he was moved that Xiang Ning had saved his life, he was still his archnemesis and he couldn’t bow before him.

“That was just a mistake, I was about to launch an attack when you arrived.”

The martial artist next to Wu Rui was older, looking about twenty-three years old.

He was a loyal fellow; ever since Wu Rui had saved his life once, he’d started following Wu Rui around as his… bodyguard.

“Really, Little Rui I was scared to death!”

“Sigh, Brother Zhang, don’t you trust my abilities How can a Dark Aurumsaur kill me Its abdomen is its weak spot, and I was just about to take advantage of that.

Also, can you not call me Little Rui” Wu Rui was annoyed because he was trying to front himself as a macho man.

‘Little Rui’ made him feel like a child.

“Really Well, don’t do that again, it’s too dangerous.

Uh… and you, thank you for saving Little Rui.

What should I call you My name is Zhang Dong.”

Xiang Ning looked at the silly grin.

The man had a friendly face, the kind that made him comfortable around him.

He grinned and shook hands.

“I’m Xiang Ning, Wu Rui’s… friend.

Nice to meet you.”

“Since when were we friends!” muttered Wu Rui, looking away.

Zhang Dong smiled.

“I see! But now isn’t the time for small talk, they still need our help over there.”

“Alright, I understand.” Xiang Ning nodded, then turned to Wu Rui.

“Shall we have a bet”

Wu Rui was offended.

How arrogant was Xiang Ning He had only saved him one time.

“Fine, if that’s what you want! I’m not scared of you!” He picked up his long iridium rod and charged at a tier two, seven-star Dark Aurumsaur.

He had thought it through; it was better to pick a weaker one.

Xiang Ning, on the other hand, specifically picked groups.

He charged into crowds of the beasts, screaming and yelling simultaneously.

Unbeknownst to others, the yelling had a special ingredient in it that would increase his Fury Points.

“Oh no! Team Leader, we can’t hold them off much longer.

These mutated Aurumsaurs are getting too powerful, much more powerful than we anticipated!”

Li Yunfei swung his axe, chopping off an Aurumsaur’s head as he roared, “Hold on just a little more, help is coming soon! Don’t let these filthy animals past us!”

“Yes, sir!”

“Ahh!”

“What is it!”

“Team Leader, look!”

They saw an Aurumsaur’s head fly horizontally across their field of vision, then knock into three more Aurumsaurs.

There was a human man’s figure at the source.

“Wow, who’s that!”

A soldier was standing in a daze while his partner fought off another Aurumsaur.

He had been paralyzed by fear, watching a Dark Aurumsaur charging at him.

It was only ten meters away.

He must have inhaled too much of the toxic breath from the Aurumsaurs, causing a misjudgment and allowing the Aurumsaur to take the upper hand.

He was very sure he was about to die when suddenly, there was a loud yell and a figure charged forward, slamming itself into the Aurumsaur!

“No, he’s being surrounded by eight Aurumsaurs!”

“No! It’s too late, he’s surrounded!”

“Kill them! Get him back no matter what, I don’t care if he’s dead or alive!”

The soldiers’ eyes reddened when they witnessed the scene.

That was the situation at the very front of the front lines, where they were holding off three hundred Aurumsaurs.

They had lost more than thirty comrades in just ten minutes and only killed about fifty Aurumsaurs! They knew things couldn’t go on like this or they would suffer heavy losses, even if they successfully killed all the Aurumsaurs.

The worst-case scenario was that their entire team could die.

They formed a defensive line, keeping the Aurumsaurs out until help arrived.

But such a formation also had its weaknesses.

If the line broke, the entire formation would be useless.

And if that person hadn’t appeared, their line would have been broken!

“Kill them all! I don’t care if it’s just his skeleton, we must bring this nameless hero back!” Li Yunfei was furious, lifting his battleaxe as he charged at the beasts, ignoring his own injuries.

But before he could swing it, he heard a shout.

“Get the ** away!”

The voice was so loud that all the Aurumsaurs attacking the soldiers turned around and looked at its source.

They abandoned the confused soldiers and surrounded the person who shouted; there were more than thirty of them!

“Die!” Xiang Ning killed an Aurumsaur before him.

The moment he was surrounded by more of them, thirty knives flew out of their sheaths as his hands continued killing them.

“Mountain-Splitting Slash! Triple Slash!” Xiang Ning’s self-made combo unleashed terror upon the beasts.

Along with his flying knives, he was almost killing one Aurumsaur with each attack.

Doge & Chacha's Thoughts

Wu Rui is a tsundere.

Nothing will change my mind.

Also the bloodbath begins!
